Grrr, ran out of yellow ink :(

I need to print something and I've ran out of yellow ink, the image is blue and white and pink and white so not using the yellow cart at all.

Is there any way to disable the yellow to allow me to print what I need?

I'm using the Ricoh GX7000.

Some printers do let you print with just the black ink when a colour runs out, but it's not common practice.

Printers generally need ink to keep air out of the printhead. If it tries to print with no ink in the cartridge, it sucks air through and causes all manner of problems. That's why most printers leave a little ink in the cartridge when you remove them.
