that was one of my 1st questions on here which side to print on lol
i've just changed printer and am having problems setting it up :~

Do you have a set of ordinary/ genuine cartridges to put into the printer? If so does the picture still print out grainy? If the picture is fine with genuine ink cartridges then it has to be something to do with the inks, but if the image is grainy with genuine carts then there is a different problem to resolve.

no i never got any carts with it
just the ciss system

Looking at the pictures from Paul - if the bottom one is more like you're getting then this looks faded (as if you haven't pressed for long enough). I would add an extra minute (overkill probably) to your time to see if that improves the depth of colour.

yep... my mugs was presed at 185C for 187sec. both of them.
