yes i have some other cheaper stuff and the images look exactly the same on both

how i do these is
i open the image i want to use play about with resolutions atc and sizes to get it how i want it
i then open a new A4 blank sheet
and drag and drop the original item onto the A4 so i can print it out where i want it

will that make a difference?????

As long as the A4 sheet that you make is the same resolution as the images you copy on to it. Make the a4 sheet 300dpi and the image the correct output size also at 300dpi. Know it sounds obvious but its easily missed when working.

LOL :) I got the answer for you smitch :) your picture is only 603x602 so it may be your problem when you trying to resize it on A4 page ;)
