A company in Sheffield has started doing non description Sublimation inks. Doesn't look like they do profiles are any support. Another nightmare for a newbie to fall into. http://www.ancientwisdom.biz/forms/prints/ . What do you think China brand or relabeled Lyson, either way some ones going to fall fowl.

I legitimately use Chinese sourced sublimation ink in a big Epson 9600 wide format printer. It produces good clean colours, doesn't need a profile and unlike some other sublimation inks, it never clogs. Not all third party inks would do that though, so you have to be careful what you buy.

One thing I certainly wouldn't do though, is go advertising cheaper sources of supply if you locate them.

I bought my equipment around March last year and only ever played around with it, most of the time the printers are stood doing nothing for months. The Lyson inks have never blocked up once in all that time. I got made redundant 2 weeks before christmas so am now trying to get some use and money out the stuff I bought last year.

Thankyou Mick.

While browsing their site, I click the link on this page: http://www.ancientwisdom.biz/news2/ which stated "first order bonus". As soon as I did, my virus scanner went mental.

I don't know if there is a virus there or if something else tripped the scanner, but I would advise caution. If you don't have an up-to-date anti-virus, approach with extreme care.

I'll email them to alert them of the issue. It may be a legitimate virus, or a false-positive, or something they're just unaware of. I'll report back when I get a reply.

Just checked out that link on my laptop running an up to date copy of Avira AV and it hasn't brought up any warnings at all. I used to use AVG but that was forever bringing up false positives on sites.

I'm using Avast and it claims the virus is JS:Redirector-DC [Trj]. Maybe it's a false positive, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I've had to fix too many friends and relatives computers over the last three weeks because of viruses. They can't explain how they got them, they have up-to-date anti-virus (usually McAfee), but I'm still the one who ends up having to clean them out.

I always use "not original" subli ink. Found good supplier in UK and printing quality is perfect. I strongly disagree with monopoly on inks market :/
