Saw this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fuser-foil-multi- ... _500wt_922 and altho they say it attaches to black print but I am not sure what you would use it for??? On garments? Probably being very thick but would be grateful for enlightenment.

I think it may be just for paper/card that been printed with a laser print - could be used to simulate a hot foiled business card or letterhead.

You can buy foil/glitter/metallic vinyls which are suited to garments.

Yeh, I know, but its not the type we're talking about Justin - the thread was about foil that sticks to black laser toner.

It must be very similar to a system I used years ago that xpres were selling to make instant screens with a burst of light. The light lasted a micro second but burn't away anything that was touching laser toner which made the stencil on the film. it didn't work to well as the screen only lasted 20 - 30 prints. The light box was a few grand but xpres stopped selling it - wonder why!

Think it was called xprescreen

There used to be a product called Omnicron which like has been said already sublimated itself onto laser toner, you would attach it with small heat resistent dots and I used to put it through a laminator, did a good job really. Useful for cards etc.
I've got some here but don't use it much, ended up buying a Citizen Printiva which would do the metallic printing (Wax based ribbons only).

Sounds like an intriguing product. I wonder if it could be used to produce gold print on laser-printed business cards?
