Re: which compressor to use for Secabo TP10

Post by Garageprint »

Hi all, I've recently bought a Secabo TP10 and its being delivered next week. I was wondering what's the best decently priced/quiet compressor for me to use? I'm mainly going to be using it for chromaluxe panels so what pressures would people normally run it at? any tips welcome!

thanks
Alex

Hi Alex. We have the same TP10 and use Clarke Shhh which is fantastic and has been in use for over five years now without bother - I think I purchased it second hand but new one here https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/quiet-run-compressor-2

So long as it is a quiet model then virtually any compressor will do. There is plenty of time even for a small tank to recharge between sublimation prints. A rubber mat will reduce the noise a bit more.
If you didn't want to spend that much there are plenty of compressors around that run at about 60db for less than £150 (Hyundai, SGS etc). 60db is workable - just avoid the 90db garage compressors.
