Re: black printing issues greeny/yellowy help!

Post by Garageprint »

hello all!

I'm trying to sort out some issues with my prints, i cant seem to get blacks and darker colours to print properly they all seem to come out mottled/greeny/yellowy? see pictures below of some prints I've done. its really hard to get a picture of what I'm experiencing.

current setup:

Epson SC-F500 with Epson ds transfer paper roll
Epson ink I believe ( ink came in the printer when I bought it)
Heat press settings tried 180/175 and times between 1-2 minutes and up to 5 and medium heavy and light pressures.
I've tried different heat settings/pressures/times. I've had my photoshop set to RGB and CMYK not much difference between the two.

I always seem to get the same issue, I'm wondering if it could be the paper I'm using? i have sent off a few emails to a few companies about ICC profiles and what paper/ink combo they would recommend for photo prints.
has anyone had these issues the same as me before? or if you have any suggestions to a fix that would be great thank you.

thanks
Alex

Hi Alex! Your issue likely stems from mismatched ICC profiles or incorrect paper/ink settings. Even with Epson ink, using the right ICC for your transfer paper is crucial. Try sourcing profiles from the paper supplier. Also, ensure your color mode stays in RGB (sRGB) for best sublimation results.
