Just about to order a new 6 colour 44 inch Epson and I've been offered a Mimaki TS100 for a very good price ex demo.
I have been insistent that we need 6 colours as we work with artists but as most of the work will be textile I'm wondering if I'm overthinking this.
The Mimaki would allow us to print at 1.6m, something we wanted to start doing soon anyway.
Looking at prints from the Mimaki they are very impressive so I'm wondering if the Epson 6 colour would be much if any better. Longer term I feel the Mimaki would be a stronger machine.
Interested to hear from anyone using either, Mimaki in particular.

I can't offer any advice on which one is more suitable for your personal requirements. However I would suggest waiting a couple of weeks. Many people head down to Birmingham to strike a deal on a new printer using the current one as a trade in.
There is aillways a glut of secondhand machines avaable in March time. As an example, I looked last year before P&P and prices were around £35k for what I wanted. Struck a few deals at the show and got everything for a little over 23k
You can normally get a really good deal on them when they become avaiable.
