Just wondering who is using what mug blanks - I need a new supply!

Your profits will be non existent if you keep sending out substandard mugs on an online sales platform such as etsy. Not only from the financial point of view of reproducing and resending orders but also the damage to your account from poor product reviews, even the number of messages and resends that each of your products receives is monitored by etsy bots (it will hide "problematic" listings).
Its not the good stuff which builds an online business, its the bad stuff which destroys it. Stop thinking about "you" and concentrate on your customers buying experience it will pay off in the long run.

It is my response to something you said in an earlier post on this thread...."I do individual mugs on Etsy and people just aren't as forgiving or understanding that the flaws are in the mug and not my fault" Is your job to send out a "saleable"mug, not the customers. Why should they be understanding, its not their problem, they just want what you have advertised for sale. Good luck BTW.

MDP is where I buy most of my sub stuff, their Orca coated mugs are great and I've never had a damaged mug sent, I would never ever buy blank mugs from ebay

I used Neil brothers orca and mdp. Still get a few with issues but most are usable.

Interesting to see you say that XP5013’s are ‘the best’.

We were using them exclusively (spent around £170k with xpres on mugs), and while the print quality of the mugs is the best by far, the quality of the actual mugs leaves much to be desired. At one point we had about half a pallet of rejects from just two pallets of mugs. Xpres sent a couple of people to see us and look through the defects and agreed that we weren’t being too picky…things like small chips in the bottom rims (before they had been glazed), black specks under the glaze, and pinholes. We ended up having to come up with designs to cover some of the flaws such as the black specks, but can’t do anything with a chipped mug.

We eventually ended up moving away from xpres mugs and use orca mugs now but we now have to be careful what we are printing as anything with a good amount of blue needs to go in the ovens for longer than everything else, so I do often think about going back to xpres mugs.

For me, I’m not bothered about the price. I’d much rather pay a bit more for good mugs, but unfortunately, I don’t feel the xp5013’s are quite there.
