Question: Has anyone had any joy with using spray adhesive on hard surfaces, specifically acrylic. Needs to be an item that is readily available in the UK.
Have crawled all over YouTube, but not found anything showing actual results on hard surfaces and virtually all of the products used are not available in the UK.
Thanks...

Re: Suitable spray adhesive for hard surfaces - Acrylic
We have been testing a new sublimation acrylic. I understand the issues you are facing with holding the transfer in place as it does mark incredibly easily, even if you just fold the paper around it leaves an indent. May I ask what products you are working with as this may help find a solution.
Out of interest, the acrylic you are using, I know it will be going very soft when pressed but are you finding the paper is sticking? All sources we used in the UK the paper stuck but this new material doesn't.

Hi Justin. Nope never had any problem with paper sticking to the acrylic.. That usually happens if using extruded material.
It is small industrial pieces, with some ornate shapes, for both branding and user dialogue. Needs to be sublimation so does not wear off, with handling.

Is screen printers 'spray tac' any use? It is designed for spraying onto a platen to hold the garment in place but I use it for holding the transfer in place when printing hi vis. Doesn't seem to affect the sublimation process in any way.

Hi pw66. I will certainly have a look at that product - thanks..
There are a few American products, very few of which carry actual photos of finished products, but it almost impossible to get pressurized containers shipped internationally nowadays due to security and safety issues. Amazon won't ship ANY of them to the UK.
