Re: Epson XP 1500

Just after some advice/opinions...

I'm looking for a printer to be able to print greetings cards - after a fair bit of research I shortlisted the Epson XP 1500

Ive since realised that this model has been discontinued and superceded by one that is almost twice the price

Can anyone offer any advice whether I should still get this model or is it best avoided - I think my prime concern is whether the Claria inks will be available for the lifetime of this printer

I'd also be very happy to hear any other suggestions in the £300 bracket

For sublimation printing with good photo and logo quality, I'd recommend the Epson ET-2800 or ET-2850 Ecotank printers. They're both 6-color printers, which should provide better color accuracy and a wider color gamut.

The XP 1500 is good, but ink availability could be an issue. For around £300, you might also look at the Canon Pixma or HP OfficeJet models—they’re great for card printing.
