Best place for a custom ICC?
I'm also thinking of purchasing this:
Sublimation Starter Bundle: EPSON Ecotank ET-18100 – Printer + 6 x 100ml Inktec Ink + A3 Paper | Ink Experts
Thoughts?

Ink Experts - they will provide you a profile anyway if you buy their printers but they also provide a custom ICC profile service.

I asked them recently do to one for me. They said "sadly we don't offer custom profiling anymore"

I am also looking to get a custom ICC profile done - idk of anywhere that does them.

I think City Ink Express will do you a custom profile for your own paper/ink/printer combo. https://www.cityinkexpress.co.uk/Wakeford2000;153788 wrote:I asked them recently do to one for me. They said "sadly we don't offer custom profiling anymore"

You will usually get a bundle of profiles with the printer, suitable for a variety of paper weights or substrates. Usually one of those will be as close as you will need to get, unless you need to print customers own art or exact pantone colours for corporate logos.

Re: Best place for custom ICC?
Thanks for letting me know, I will get in touch with them. That's the thing, I only print my own art and so colour accuracy is frustrating me. Ink Experts supplied me a colour profile specifically for ceramic tiles and my printer but I can't always get tiles from the same company they bought their tiles from and I'm not convinced it's all that accurate anyway. Not that they come out bad, just not as perfect as I would like. I'll feel more confident in the ICC profile if I get a custom one done. Then I can look at other limiting factors such as my printer (Epson ET-2714) if I need to, idk if that could be a problem. It has surprised me how much colour and definition vary between ceramic tile suppliers.
Thanks again for the pointer!

The only thing with Cityinkexpress, is they do the ICC based on a printed chart on paper, rather than on different substrates.pw66;153790 wrote:I think City Ink Express will do you a custom profile for your own paper/ink/printer combo. https://www.cityinkexpress.co.uk/

my ET-1810 (A-SUB Ink & Paper) - Using A-SUB ICC, still poor colour matching, that's why I want to go down the Custom route.

Hi, Have you had any joy finding someone? I'm in the same situation as yourself. The profile I have from Paul is spot on, but when it comes to softer substrates it's not so accurate. I need the colours to match the image on the screen, as I m looking to produce jigsaws with my landscape images. Like you, I asked Ink Experts, but they unfortunately have stopped offering custom profiling.

Ah, Cityinkexpress don't offer ICC for different substrates, well that's no use for me either. I've had no joy finding anyone, I'll need to keep digging to see if there is someone who will do it. I don't understand why InkExperts would stop offering the service, they could just put their price up if it wasn't a good enough return on time.

Maybe too many variables to get right? First they have to assume that the customer has printed the charts correctly.Wakeford2000;153816 wrote:Ah, Cityinkexpress don't offer ICC for different substrates, well that's no use for me either. Then there is such a difference in 'identical'substrates from one manufacturer to another that colours don't always come out the same.
Umnless they are printing onto the same make of substrate at the identical time and temperature then a profile is still hit and miss.
