Re: Epson WF 7310
Are you using 'DYE SUBLIMATION' ink or regular 'DYE BASED' printer ink? Big difference.

Re: Epson WF 7310
Hi sorry for my ignorance. It's the ink that was supplied with the printer. What is the difference & which is the best ?pw66;153612 wrote:Are you using 'DYE SUBLIMATION' ink or regular 'DYE BASED' printer ink? Big difference.

Do you mean the original Epson start up cartridges that came with the printer? Those are just regular printing carts and will not sublimate.Islandgifts.;153625 wrote:Hi sorry for my ignorance. It's the ink that was supplied with the printer. What is the difference & which is the best ?

You need specialist Dye Sublimation ink to sublimate. Sublimation ink releases the colours when heat pressed, regular ink doesn't.
I don't think our usual 'favorite' supplier stocks anything for the 7310 so I got mine from Ink Express.
You will need these and you will be up and running -

It doesn't say sublimation on the label so it is a reasonable assumption that it is ordinary dye based printer ink.Islandgifts.;153645 wrote:[ATTACH=CONFIG]7323[/ATTACH

You need to syringe the ink ouit of the carts, buy some sublimation ink and start again. Maybe buy some nozzle rocket to clean the heads or just run a few dozen test sheets on cheap copier paper to use the last of the old ink.
Or just buy a second set of carts.
