Ricoh 3110 Black lines on edge of print

This isn't my image but it is exactly what I am getting regards the black lines at the bottom. They are in the direction of travel of the print head.
The thread I found this image on didn't have a conclusion.

Background. I have been away for 4 weeks. I left the printer on for the maintenance, but it ran out of ink in the magenta and yellow. I assume it didn't do any maintenance after that. I have just replaced them, fired up the printer and I have these lines.

Nozzle check is perfect, block colour print test shows no banding.

It's just when I go to print an image.

Is the black nozzle buggered?


Edit - Update
I have cleaned everything I can get at with some "Magic Bullet". The result is the print run is finished all appears good.
Not convinced that all is good long term, but it will do for now.

That might be a problem with the paper.

Try some other paper (even if its not sublimation) and see what you get. Ideally a half decent weight paper such as 115gsm or 120

I did ponder that. This was with Trupix, I tried some copy paper and it was the same. After cleaning I went back to the Trupix and for the moment all appears good.

The printer can't give up as it's only 6 years old......:rolleyes:
