Re: How to work out sublimation costs?

I have an Epson 4800 and sub Lino an ink. I am trying to work out the cost of printing 1 A4 page. I don’t want to have to wait till the ink finishes to calculate how many pages I can print .
thank you

There’s no definite way to calculate this.

Ink volume will vary massively from one design to another.
Take a pack of 100 sheets of sub paper divide cost by 100 then add 3p per sheet.

all ink costs vary from different suppliers so there’s no way to accurately tell.

Unless you are using Sawgrass inks the average cost per a4 sheet is so low as to be of little relevance and totally subjective when different images are taken into account. Literally pennies per sheet as MrTea said. Some images might be one penny others might be 5 pence. Even if you double the price of your paper for costing purposes then you will be more than on the right side.

TBH the cost of electricity is more significant - especially if you are turning the press on for just a few items.

weigh your ink carts before you do a big batch of printing, and weigh them again afterwards = divide the weight of ink used by the number of printed sheets.
