Anyone know where the maps come from?

Does anybody know where or how to get the maps you see on various personalised products around the web? The ones where you give them a postcode and they put a little section of the map into the design... they're not google maps and they look too nice to just be ordnance survey maps. Just wondering if I'm missing a software or service that people are using for them.

Thank you - that may put me on the right tracks, but I'm not sure it's exactly what I'm after. It certainly helps though so thanks again.

I like the types of maps I've hopefully attached below - and I have an idea for a project I'm working on - so I would love some similar styles of maps for my area.
