Marabu Mara Jet inks any good?

I have seen these inks on a few sites and wondered if anyone has actually installed them and used them.

Digital ink manufactured by Marabu.
If you are currently using original Roland inks, MaraJet can be installed directly afterwards* without the need for cleaning/flushing solution, and there is no need to reprofile your machine.

These inks are less than the cost of the 220ml Roland inks so they do look like a nice way to save some money but I'm also not sure which version I would need as it doesn't actually state EcoSolMax where the rest does state ESM2 and ESM3.

I'm considering these now that my Mimaki is out of warranty. About half the price of OEM cartridges.
Not sure which way to go - seen some reviews saying that they are really good and others saying the colours aren't so vivid and that the inks cause problems.

If costing my product correctly then ink price shouldn't be a problem, but I am a low volume user and when times are hard being low volume means it is harder to find £350 to replace three colours.

Same here but 4x carts plus a cleaning cart over £400 a time.
Im just concerned it could block the head.

When I owned a screen printing company we used these inks a lot. They were considered one of the best inks around (and probably still are).

Can't speak for digital but given their reputation I would be very surprised if it was crap

Marabu is a very reputable company in screen printing inks. is not some kind off chines inks with a brand sticker, so those would be my ink to go. But Roland 440cc are so cheap and last so long, that I am still, on Roland.

Just check that it isn't stuff with short dates on.
I had that problem with Mimaki after the pandemic. Most of the carts that came with the printer had nearly two years date. When I replaced one after twelve months the one they sent only had I month more than the empty one I was replacing.

Another quick update.

I have now been using the maribu inks in place of the Roland and honestly I can’t see a difference in the quality.
Pretty impressed and with a massive price difference it’s a no brainer.

I have also instead of buying cleaning carts buying 1ltr bottles of the cleaning solution for £27. which is also a massive difference from the £67 220ml cart.
I have been refilling the old cart carefully using a syringe and needle from a inkexperts kit I had unused. Just passing the needle carefully inside past the rubber seal it takes a while but the saving is massive.

Now I’m on the lookout for a refillable cart.

I have switched to Nazdar inks at £52. Can't say I have noticed a difference to Mimaki inks. Cleaning carts ( Mimaki OEM) from digiprint supplies at £45.
