Printed mug guarantees

Evening all

Do any of you mug printers offer any kind of guarantee as to the print life expectancy of your mugs?

I've just seen that BMS offer a 12 month dishwasher guarantee on their RN coated ceramic products when printed with Sawgrass inks

I'm currently using Orca coated mugs with Ink Experts Sublinova Epson Inks - appreciate any advice regarding what I should be saying to customers

I have been using the same ink and mugs for a few years and no issues reported at all.
I wouldn’t guarantee anything as such or you will get people breaking things and asking for a refund 11months down the line.

just use your best judgement.

You have no idea about changes to dishwasher tablets..new 'turbo cleaner' tablets etc. Customer placing the mug on the wrong shelf in the dishwasher next to the heater. Those guarantees are always under certain conditions..not in the real world.

Sell them as decorative mugs. Suitable for occasional use, when hand washed.

I have a potential order for a golf club where the mugs will get a lot of use and be put regularly in a commercial dish washer - should I bother?

MUGS CANNOT BE WASHED IN A COMMERICAL DISHWASHER! Learnt both from experience but also from supplier discussions about this very subject. Commercial dishwashers are evil, very hot and will peel the coating off sometimes after only one wash. When you sell mugs you must say that they must only be used in a domestic dishwasher. The only printed mugs I know that can withstand a commercial dishwasher are mugs done with decals.

I have had my mugs in commercial dishwashers without any issues using Listawood mugs.

Not sure about other coatings as other mugs I use have not been in a commercial setting.
