Possibly, but they try to stop people using other inks.

I did have a Ricoh Gelsprinter (can't remember which model now, 2100 IIRC) that I got refill carts for, and tried Sublinova in it, but the prints were streaky and awful, like the ink was too thin for the printer, so it didn't work out. I did do a running report of my experiences in doing it on here, but the thread got deleted unfortunately.

So far they seem ok, the colours are quite bright and the solids don't have streaks in them.
Will have to see how we get on.
At least we know that we can purge them and use Sawgrass inks if we need to.
The printer didn't cost us anything, so we weren't risking much trying.
As the printer had been in storage for over 4years, I was pleasantly surprised that I could clean out the system.

Update on this thread.
My daughter is very pleased with the quality of the Sublinova inks, colours are accurate, and so far the printer is printing well.
I must emphasize that anyone moving to other supplier's inks should carry out a full flush and clean of the system, as described in this post
https://wyliecoyoteuk.wordpress.com/202 ... bbit-hole/
She also has a Ricoh SG3100, in which she uses Sawgrass ink. A few weeks ago, this worked well, until the colours suddenly changed.
Turns out that the the CUPS (Common Unix Printing System, also used by Apple) printing system adopted "driverless" printing, which uses a different colour profile. This changed the colour space for the 3100.
After a few conversations with Sawgrass support, I managed to get the correct Sawgrass ICC profile for her to use with it, so I hope that will solve the issues.

Using an Epson Ecotank ET-8210, Galaxy Pro GS-202 mug press, Ink Experts Versa Dye sublimation paper, Inktec Sublinova Smart Dye Ink onto 11oz Double Orca Coated mugs. Using the icc profiles from Ink Experts and the GIMP have got some great results. Was going to do a write up of my setup in case it was useful for others to avoid my mistakes if anyone was interested.

What OS?
Colour profiles in Linux can be quite difficult.

Mint 20.3 using official Epson drivers and the GIMP 2.10.18. Plenty of paper used while testing but few minor tweaks to exposure and curves and can get a pretty close print out and burn. Pros might take a look and disagree

Does Mint 20.04 support the gnome colour profile manager?
My daughter had real problems lately with Mint and her Ricoh SG3110, mainly because the backend drivers were updated and it put the colours out with Sawgrass inks.
Her SG7100 is still slightly wrong, but as that is a GDI printer (cut down capabilities, otherwise known as a host-based printer) not much to be done. Using InkExperts Sublinova inks and profiles works pretty well on Ubuntu 20.04.

Always at the mercy of the printer drivers I guess. Converting the image to the desired profile and using Epson, sublino a ink and versa paper works ok
