Still Lines After 3 Head Cleans
Re: Still Lines After 3 Head Cleans
Hi all.. having issues with lines on print as shown in images, image 1 shows problem, i done a nozzle check which seemed to confirm that a head clean was needed, done a head clean and while it looks better, the lines are still there albeit thinner and darker, another nozzle check seem to show all is good, but obviously it isn't. iv done 3 head cleans in total, and the printer manual says to leave for 12hrs & repeat.
iv also cleaned the rollers with ribbon soaked in isopropanol, turned off high speed printing
ive also checked the original image and there are no lines
any help would be appreciated

Re: Still Lines After 3 Head Cleans
Last nozzle check looks fine, what printer is this?
The lines don't look like blocked nozzles to me.

Re: Still Lines After 3 Head Cleans
You need to home in on the problem.
Try rotating the image and printing again. I realise it will cut half the image off, but all we are looking for is the lines to be in exactly the same place or not. This will tell you if its the printer or the image. Secondly, try different paper settings and again see if the lines are still there.

Re: Still Lines After 3 Head Cleans
SORTED... initially i changed the orientation of the image and lines were still there, just going other way, then looked at paper settings ....and noticed they had changed from my normal settings of High Quality Matte to Standard Plain...returned them back to High Matte, printed and VIOLA perfect
the only thing i can think of was my printer done an update, so possibly, maybe my setting resorted back to default....its surprising what a change in paper settings can do
anyways all good now and thanks for your help chaps

Glad you got it sorted...
Now save those settings in your print dialogue box so that they will always be there to simply "click on" when printing
