Genie III/Arc mug press + 14oz steel travel mugs

So today I attempted to sublimate onto two 14oz steel travel mugs I had to hand (1 white and 1 silver), with both resulting in paper baked to the mug.

Try 1: Idle 185c / Print 190c / 40s (from Listawood Genie III Guide) - Very baked
Try 2: Idle 165c / Print 170c / 35s (regular mug setting reduced by 10s) - Baked to a lesser extent.
In both cases, the blacks also came out dull compared to other colours.
Using:
Genie III/Arc mug press
Sawgrass SG800 with SublijetHD inks
Trupix paper

I know there are several members on here with this press and wondered if anyone had any recommended times & temps for pressing these.

I haven't done this style in a GENIE III for a good long while, but I seem to remember that I had the same idle and count down time so it would start to count down as soon as I put the item in the press.

Thanks for the reply. I'll give it a try when some more mugs arrive.
From what I've been reading, it also seems that I'm not alone where Trupix baking to these mugs is concerned, I suspect i'll be sacrificing a few more before I hit the sweet temp/time combo.

We had exact same issue oddly with genie presses on metal and never managed to get any temp/time to work. We therefore use genie purely for bone china and stuck with adkins for metal.

It's a shame as the press works great otherwise. I may add a few to my next order for another try, although as I only have the Genie mug press-wise, I'm now thinking it may be a lot less stress sticking to travel mugs without meltable plastic handles and just doing them in the oven instead.
