I have been using the epson ecotank 2711 for 12m without issue until recently.
I use the mug paper from ink experts and sublinova inks
my issue is when printing a design I have to trim the edge off one end and the top or I end up with a thin black line down the mug from the printer leaving ink on the paper.
I have cleaned it a 1000 times. Without solution.
HELP!
Epson ecotank Pulling my hair out.

Is the paper slightly curled due to it being damp? I always store opened paper in a large ziplock bag with plenty of silicon sachets.

Re: Epson ecotank Pulling my hair out.
We've recently bought a 2750 and had the same issue with the pre cut paper as we use a specific size for our mugs. We now get the paper cut 10mm wider than we need so this sticks up above the mug when being printed (oven)
It can be the edge of the paper catching the head sometimes.
PS....Don't clean your printer 1000 times......lol

it’s catching top edge and front edge.
oddly I’m not printing anywhere near these sides but yes I keep mine in a ziplock too as my workshop is cold.

I can get away with the top part but the front edge is by the handle.

Re: Epson ecotank Pulling my hair out.
Is it a nice "neat" line or ragged?
In other words, could it possibly be added by the software as opposed to catching on the print head?
What size paper are you printing on and have you tried on an A4 sheet just to see if the same thing happens.

along the top it’s a spot but along the front a line.socialgiraffe;149872 wrote:Is it a nice "neat" line or ragged?

on mugs the top comes out like a full stop the handle side is a thin black line perfectly straight.
I thought software so tried a laptop running gimp but same issue.
paper is 99x210 style lite
The thing is I can’t see anything on the paper until after it’s pressed.
A4 is fine as I cut that out anyway but I only print mugs and coasters so stick to the mug paper for both.
