Re: MDP Mug settings for press

Post by Tubstar »

Hi everyone.

So I bought a couple of boxes of MDP mugs earlier on in the year when it was tough to get mugs. We usually use Xpres ones. I use a Freesub St-210 (older style) and I just cant get a consistent output. I have replaced the elements and still the same. Could anyone that gets good results with MDP 10oz Durham Orca coated mugs please share their settings.

Many thanks,
Alex.

Hi Alex. I must admit we have the same issues and did what you did - normally use Xpres but had to resort to MDP when stock dried up. We couldn't get good results on the MDP mugs especially with large areas of solid colour. We used mug presses by the way so others with an oven might have different results. As soon as we got our hands on 5013 again we ditched MDP and have boxes of them here as back-up when things hit the fan again but certainly don't like them.
