i ordered a collection from parcel2go using UKmail on saturday to be collected monday for next day delivery

and it hasn't been collected and its now tuesday

i contacted their live help section and their attitude was well its not guaranteed so we'll just re-order it for today, but we can't guarantee it will be collected.


what a way to run a business

i am fuming and i certainly won't be using them again

can anyone recommend a good courier that is reasonably priced

UK Mail mmm, had two bad experiences with them, both deliveries to me. The latest one took 8 days to be delivered on a next day service!

Customer 'service' didn't seem to give a monkeys and the tracking kept saying 'customer out, card left' when that clearly wasn't true as I was here all the time. Finally I emailled them directions as they 'couldn't find the address' even though they had already left two cards on previous occasions.

Seems that after two 'failed' deliveries they can then charge the sender again for another delivery, so I'm steering well clear of them in future.

I've used parcel2go on numerous occaisions and never had any problems with them. They picked one parcel up on a Monday morning and on Wednesday afternoon it was sitting with the customer in New York. That was using just regular air freight.

Brokers like parcel2go will always get you far better prices than you will ever get as an individual. On Parcelforce for example they are typically 60 percent of the cost of what Parcelforce quote directly.

please check interpacel,they offer a discounted service for deliveries within the uk ,you can enter the shipment details (weight and dimension) and they will give you a price for the most popular UK couriers (Dhl,Tnt,Fedex,UPS,Mail UK,HDLN) if you open account with them you will receive additional 5% off ,we working with them for years now and they are very good however the phone lines are always busy and i recommend to use the contact us link on the website instead

I now use MyHermes.co.uk and have had no problem with them whatsoever, I think they are part of TNT, you can also have a Saturday Collection which is £1.00 extra

I use Parcel2go all the time & have found them to be very good 99% of the time however the last parcel I used them for was via DHL who cocked up big time. My parcel which was urgent sat in a DHL depot for a few days all because someone decided a box full of mugs was a security risk. I got in touch with the live help at Parcel2go & all they said was that I was in the 4% of deliveries that don't get there on time. I then finished up on the phone to DHL myself to get it sorted out which took me a total of 6 hours. I've put a complaint into both Parcel2go & DHL & both said they would get back to me but after 2 weeks neither of them have. Pretty poor customer service all round if you ask me & if you mention the word compensation well, it all goes very quiet on the other end of the phone.

DHL did let slip to me that a parcel they consider a security risk could be full of explosives to which I couldn't stop laughing. They asked what could be so funny about that & I said well, if it was full of explosives do you think you would be sat in the office of that depot right now?

I have to say I'll be thinking twice about using Parcel2go from now on & I was one who wads always singing their praises.

For courier deliveries, I've used P4D several times - I've always gone for DHL 48 or 24 hour.

With the exception of the embarrassing debacle of the pre-Christmas alleged "severe weather" comedians' goldmine, they've always been fine. By way of an example, I finished an order on Sunday and ordered a pick up for yesterday. I only paid for 48hr. DHL picked up yesterday and delivered this morning. I'm in the South East, the customer is in Glasgow.

I call that pretty good service.

I did have to contact P4D today because they had the wrong DHL tracking number assigned to my parcel on their website, so I got the wrong tracking details. I emailed at 12:04, they replied at 12:08 with the issue fixed.

I've no desire to go elsewhere at the moment.
