Hi
I have downloaded a trial version of Epson Edge software and it kinda looks good for what I need. Shame it was not included with my SC-F500 &F501!
Any ideas where I can get a full licence from? Epson said they don't sell and I need to contact my distributor but thought I'll ask here before I go further.
Also, if anyone knows of alternative to Edge that would ideally run on MacBook Pro or Windows (on Virtual Parallels Windows).
Thanks,
Damian

Re: Epson Edge RIP
We've just bought a F6300 Printer. I spoke to Epson prior to purchase who told me Edge could be downloaded and used for free. Got the printer in and downloaded. Then it asked for licence number. Spoke to Epson again who confirmed it wasn't FOC. Funnily enough they couldn't find any trace of my previous conversation.
I searched the net and found US licences were $1500-$2000. Luckily I bought it from a printer dealer and they managed to get me a code.
It is excellent software, very easy to use but I don't think you'll be able to justify the outlay for the F500. Better to find an alternative.

Maybe it wasn't included with F6300.
I got this from Epson: Yes it is supplied with certain large format printer models. If you wish to purchase this separately for use with your units then this would need to be done through your reseller, as we are unable to quote or sell the software ourselves directly here. We recommend querying this with your reseller of your SC-F500's and they should be able to help you out with this.
But honestly, the fact that you can easily in 10 seconds align all prints It takes me ages in Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign Just doing test prints on various settings to explore more

F501 - is that the model with fluorescent ink?
How are you getting on with it? What are the colours like?
I have always assumed that fluorescent worked best as part of a six colour inkset.
Re: Epson Edge RIP
Well I’ll tell you when I get time to unwrap it had it since January and still in the box
