I installed an Teflon upper heat press platen cover. The cover seems to be a bit thick. I tried to do a pressing and the ink barely came off of the paper. Previous pressings were perfect at this temp and pressure.
Does the Teflon cover require an increase in temp settings?

Re: Heat press platen cover
The heat should be the same as previously as the teflon will heat up to the same temp as the platen, If it was out, it would be minimal meaning there would not be a significant drop in print quality. Pressure would be more of a consideration, but then adding a teflon cover will increase pressure, which again should not show significant difference.
In this instance I would consider upping the temperature by 10-20 degrees to see what happens. If you get a much better image then it would have to point to the cover.

I increased the time by 10% and upped the temp from 385 to 392 and prints came out perfect.
