Smudging and is it pin wheel?

Hi, I hope you can see the image clear enough. It seems like everytime I print using fabric paper and a bigger image, I get either smudges like this or from what Google tells me, pin wheels. For the smudging I think it's just a case of bad luck but I get the feeling this pin wheel thing is here to stay! Any suggestions? For the above example I printed off 2 different images to put onto mugs and they were fine and then swapped around to fabric paper and changed ICC profile and got this.

What printer are you using?

It's Epson ET-2750. One of these starter packages from Ink Experts.

Are you printing on the highest quality settting or standard? Try turning off high speed also to slow the printing down and deliver less ink onto the page. Try printing onto TruPix paper to see if the problem still exists.

High quality setting. Just printed again but with high speed checked off. A little better but still no good.

The paper I'm using is the fabric paper from Ink Experts. Is it worth getting some of this TruPix paper to try then?

I would try printing on the standard setting rather than high, and try the TruPix paper. Ink dries quickly on this paper and the lower setting will leave less ink on the page. If that doesn't work, you'll need to speak to your supplier about removing the plastic cog wheel which is causing the marks and any warranty issues.

At the end of the day, the printer has one job to do and if it can't perform as a printer should, then it should be returned.

By accident (I thought the next bit of paper was fabric), I printed on a style type of paper, and there's no blemishes or pin wheels on it at all. So it's looking like an issue with paper.

Do people have many issues with these types of paper or is it just a bit unlucky?

It would seem the final piece of the jigsaw was that I was selecting matte paper instead of plain paper in the printer options. User error!
