Need a new A3+ printer - looking for advice
Re: Need a new A3+ printer - looking for advice
Hiya guys
One of my trusty Ricoh SG7100 printers has died, and after 6 years of only ever using this make & model I'm struggling to pick a new one!
I need the A3+ printing capabilities, and I'm torn between the Epson ET-14000 or the Sawgrass SG1000 (plus a bypass tray).
I'm leaning towards the Epson because its half the price and I'm reading good reviews, but I will be running another SG7100 alongside it. Will this cause me colour management set up issues in CorelDraw?
Appreciate any advice, many thanks

The Epson L1800 sits inbetween the two you mentioned price wise.
It is essentially a six colour ecotank version of the old 1500w. Same internals as the et14000, but configured as a photo printer, not an office printer.
Enquire to Ink Experts.

Ditch Sawgrass for Epson for sure. Sublinova Smart inks are the best. Talk with inkexperts.co.uk

Seriously wishing I'd listened to you. This Sg1000 is a nightmare, and don't even get me started on Print manager!!

Yep, I don't want to tell you I told you so....but....

Just say it, honestly... I deserve it.
In the 7 years I've been doing sub, all with Ricoh printers, I've never known stress like it...
Anyhoo. L1800 or SC-F500?

Talk with inkexperts.co.uk or if you want to go bigger (24") which i recommend then talk with reprorepairs.co.uk who are refurbished large format epson printer specialists.

+1 for ReproRepairs ... bought our first proper sub printer from them, after giving up faffing with CISS systems and an Epson 1400, and never looked back. It was an Epson Stylus Pro 4400 (17" 4 colour) the quality and reliability was amazing and such a step up from home printers.UK Printed Mugs;147221 wrote: talk with reprorepairs.co.uk who are refurbished large format epson printer specialists.
If the jump to 24" is too much, there are very good 17" printers, which can be roll feed rather than sheets, so can be much more economical on paper usage than a sheet fed machine.
