Our last Ricoh SG3110DN has an error message that means paper jam. It was printing perfectly until the error message.

I took it to a local printer repair company who cleaned and tested it. They said there was definitely no paper jam. They think it's a main-board error and suggested getting the printer replaced. If only!! Our local repair company had no idea where to get a main-board for it.

We already have four SG500 printers and I really don't like them.

  1. The software SPM (Sawgrass Print Manager) is slow and clunky. It constantly crashes Windows spool manager on every PC. It's the only printer driver I've ever seen that has a "restart spool manager" button. Sawgrass know there's a problem. PowerDriver was perfect. Why did they do this?
  2. Colours are off, especially reds.
  3. The worst thing is the borders. They are huge! We use 240x100mm mug sheet paper. On the SG3110DN we could print with 3mm borders, so could do full coverage on 11oz mugs. The SG500 has 8mm borders so we can't do the full coverage designs any more.
So our last SG3110DN got networked and was only used for full coverage designs and reds. Then it gets this error message. I'd buy a new one or a second hand working one if I could find it. I did find one on Amazon for £400 but there was something fishy about it. I rang the seller to check the details but they admitted that the one they had did not look like the picture on the listing. I wasn't going to pay £400 for an unknown.

Has anyone had their Ricoh SG3110DN printer repaired?

Does anyone want to sell a working SG3110DN? £££

We have a SG3110DN you can buy. Was using with non-oem inks (not sublimation). Had it a few years but certainly no error messages. Say £75+vat with free postage. If so email me directly sales@ukprintedmugs.co.uk
