MDP and Orca Virgin!
Re: MDP and Orca Virgin!
Well here goes it's rare I try something new unless I have to. I am OK for mugs but running tighter on stock than I like (I like a nice cushion). I am a rhino mug sort of chap, but as they aren't around and the reserves need topping up I have ordered a few cases of orca 11oz mugs from MDP to try. I have never used MDP before or orca coated mugs, I feel all giddy.
Do they coming on the backs of unicorns? Are the mugs wrapped in the tears of angels? Heck I might have to fiddle with settings!

I used to use the 11oz from MDP, no issues at all.
However, when MDP ran out of stock, I started to use the 11oz rhino coated mugs by Novachrome.

I quite like these mugs. Try giving them a call?

Re: MDP and Orca Virgin!
I decided to use the MDP Orca mugs for the print run this morning. I can report they are straight, white, handle not crooked, and print just fine.
So that's alright then.

Went from poly mailers to smashproof boxes for environmental reasons but it’s not working for me sadly.
I suppose I could pack them in bubble bags and a second box but that just adds to the problem.
Re: MDP and Orca Virgin!
Ahh I have just got in 100 smashproof boxes to try. At the moment I use polyboxes but was also looking at the environmental aspect. I already use solar power and rainwater capture so it makes sense.
I must say the smashproof boxes are more chunky than the ones I tried years ago. These came from Dye Sublimation Supplies, I should know within 100 whether they work!

I had a batch from dss but the mdp ones are a tiny bit thicker.
xmas was mental and breakages were more common than not.
I found shipping with parcel2go was far easier than using Hermes direct.
I sent as uninsured as mugs aren’t covered anyway so it was cheaper.
when I had a breakage I went to claim section and it just refunded postage instantly.
Hermes don’t even refund the postage without a fight.
Re: MDP and Orca Virgin!
I have a Royal Mail account so I'll see how they get on with the boxes. I avoid Hermes as my experience receiving things sent through them is........!
Interesting to here the MDP ones are slightly thicker.
