Came across this video of how mugs are made. Have a lot more respect for the process now and fascinating how inner two tone ones are done.

Sadly those poor workers probably earn less in a week than we make selling just one mug.
There are other factory videos about mug production and you can see the working environment is not somewhere I would want to work that’s for sure.

Sadly those poor workers probably earn less in a week than we make selling just one mug.
There are other factory videos about mug production and you can see the working environment is not somewhere I would want to work that’s for sure.
I agree but sadly "we" are also one of the biggest factors for this. In our race to the bottom in terms of price and/or quality some of the suppliers are not carrying out due diligence on where the products come from. I only know of two suppliers that do dig deeper than whats in the box and thankfully they are both suppliers to me :-)

Perhaps, if we started asking the relevant questions to our suppliers then things might improve, however that will also potentially mean prices will increase, and as you probably know, there are some that will not give a hoot that 5 year old children are making their shiny white sublimation mug :-(
