Just ordered a Mimaki CJV 150-130 (54"). I was going to get the smaller CJV 150 -107, but the larger model was available with £3000 discount, bringing it to within £2k of the 107 - way too close to the price of the smaller model to ignore.

Now all I have to do is decide on the ink configuration, and choose between solvent or eco solvent ink.

Thanks for all the input, very much appreciated.

Hiya

How are you getting on with your purchase? I'm finding myself in the same boat now as business is growing, I usually outsource transfers but they come in expensive and take a week to turn around. I was looking at buying the Roland VersaCamm print and cut.

i would be using it mainly for garment transfers but sometimes get asked for banners and vehicle vinyl

I'm worried about print head as i've heard if they are not used often enough, the print heads will go on them
any recommendations welcome

I have put the purchase back until the new year. The print samples that the Mimaki distributor (Hybrid Services) sent me didn't wash well - I have now sorted the problem to my satisfaction.

What with the covid restrictions I took the view that there wasn't much point in buying this year and have it sat around with the guarantee running out for six months. The money is safely put aside, earning a small amount of interest, ready to go when the time is right. I'll be looking to get one installed around March.

Looks like there's some new models coming out soon.

Might be of interest although bigger than the size you were looking at.
