Re: Shrink Wrap Bags....did anybody try them in an oven?

Back in the mist of time I saw shrink wrap bags for doing mugs in an oven with no need to wave a heat gun around. The concept was that they were really easy and quick. Wrap mug, pop in bag, pop in oven, bag shrinks to mug, cook, remove. I had forgotten about it until unwrapping a chicken.

Quick search on the forum didn't bring the bags up. Did anybody ever try them?

Never seen those, but I have used the heat shrink successfully in my oven. I use it to do all over prints on items such as travel mugs.

What's the cost benefit compared to Silicon wraps?

I think it may be down to versatility rather than an actual cost benefit.

A quick google suggests they are around 50p each which is quite steep considering "standard" heat shrink film is around 20p

Look good though and for quicky shapes etc I could see these as being better than the stuff I use, but only if it works as good as the video (which I highly doubt!)

That made me chuckle, surely you don't think they picked the 1 in 100 that went really smoothly?...
