Re: T-shirts sublimation pressing FUMES. respirator? Extractor?

Post by Bispham »

any advice for the type of respirator I could wear whilst pressing T-shirts ? My throat feels a bit uncomfortable after pressing T-shirts.

I keep my press near a window too but the quite small room I work in gets smelly. I usually press 25 T-shirts process takes about 40min. maybe I could buy some kind of exhaust/extractor too?

Please advise
Thanks

Screwfix sell a good range of extractors. An inline one costs about £60, or one for over the cooker costs about £50. Both extract about 300 cubic metres an hour. Get some flexible ducting to lob out the window when pressing.
A higher volume fan costs about £100 (800+ cubic metres/hr). https://www.extractorfanworld.co.uk/man ... -151-c.asp

Find one that extracts between 5 and 10 times the volume of the room, per hour.
