Good morning folks,
A quick update. I had an email from Alex Turner (Listawood MD) this morning to apologise and to let me know he had asked accounts to organise a refund and the business manager for that part of the business to get in touch.
I'll keep you updated as things progress.

Update
Refund for the smashed box organized from accounts. I have spoken to Beckie (business manager) and she took it on the chin, rather than trying to fob me off which was a good start. It appears ordering in multiples of 72 is best for minimal breakages, or pallet loads. I guess it's harder to throw 72 mugs in one box.
And yes they are also struggling with stock.

I thought LW now had a guaranteed way of shipping without damages?

Hi Justin
I think that would be their mug crates. If you want blank mugs sent out in those it's extra as the mugs are unpacked and repacked into different packaging. Useful if you are then printing and sending on again. I could of course be wrong.

I've had very mixed results with Listawood in the last week. I ordered 72 AAA 11oz mugs - first box - pretty good, a few defects - one chipped but generally ok, these were sent double boxed and then 2 boxes in a larger box - a vast improvement on my previous deliveries which would have loads with handles smashed off.

The second box of 36 was incorrectly delivered as Latte mugs - but they replaced them the following day - unfortunately with a box of the worst mugs I've ever had - tiny handles, unbagged - maybe 3 out of the first 24 useable (didn't bother checking the rest) chips, pin holes, multiple marks, hair in the glaze, like a box of rejects - so far inferior to the other box, and surely not AAA standard. I've replacements coming tomorrow - fingers crossed they are better...

The staff I've dealt with have been good, replacing defective/incorrect products without much fuss, and I understand that everyone is stretched at present - but we shouldn't be getting palmed off with defective stock.

Davew,
Listawood may have a great coating for durability but if the overall quality of service isn't there the coating is pointless.

I think this could well be the case - I'd rather they just told us they were out of stock (Like everyone else!!:frown:) the coating is good though, they print really nice and sharp.

it does make you wonder if companies are dragging out all their rejects! Listawood may have a great coating for durability but if it's being badly applied on poor mugs and then incorrectly sent out, the coating is pointless. I wonder if this has occurred to Listawood.

Gotta say guys, what you are saying is quite offensive to any supplier.

To suggest that they are giving you the rejects is really not on and to be even more brutally honest shows no idea on how a warehouse is managed. Particularly one the size of LW. It would be virtually impossible to do what you are suggesting.

I absolutely get that you might not be happy with their service or you may not favour their mugs and if this is the case move on instead of creating a false and sinister rhetoric that smears the reputation of a supplier.

I'm still waiting for a reply from Alex about the large number of breakages I have had.
