Re: Bought my halogen oven

Post by leealbi791 »

Just printed two mugs separately. Problems with both.
I warmed the halogen oven up to 180 and used a thermometer to make sure it was up to temp. Made sure wraps and printed paper was on securely.
Place each cup in oven and started timer 9 mins.
After the finished time took cups out . First cup I laid on its side, noticed one side of print was faded
Second cup stood up and slight fading.
I used the spacer for extra air movement also.
Any advice. Or is it just trial and error until you hit the sweet spot?

I don't have one of these ovens but I've heard you don't use the spacer.

Which mugs are you using? How close to the handle are going and is the wrap tight over the top/bottom?

It's flipping working now, I've upped the temp from 180°c to 195°c seems to be doing the job.

Did you put the dial on 180 or is the real temperature 180; here the dial is about 15°C off, so that might the reason

My experiment was one mug at 10 min, result was nice, but on the edges near there is some fading, but ithink i pushed my boundaries when printing...

I’m using 180 degrees for 13 minutes for 2. Upping the temperature is a way to fix it, but upping the time too.
