Re: Hosting

Post by GoonerGary »

I have a woocommerce site which I'm currently migrating to TSOhost to join all of my other sites. I foolishly set it up on bluehost originally. I've since learned that the original founders of TSOhost have now set up Stablepoint, so when everything is up for renewal..I'll probably migrate all the sites over there.

Back to the point...Is anyone using cloud servers such as Google Cloud, VPS? What are your loading speeds like? Worth the upgrade?

Where is this site hosted Justin ?

I use a company called Go Creations. First class service but not cheap. You do get what you pay for. I've never waited more than 5 minutes for a tech support response and they are incredibly pro active, worth every penny.

Gary, I'm using TSOhost and loading speeds are cracking. I joined when it was the old Vidahost so have unlimited storage and bandwidth for less than £9 a month.

I prefer using Digital Ocean or Vultr. Avoid using any shared hosts.

WPX for us, never had any issues, and big speed improvements on the cheap hosting we were on previously from WHUK

Have a read of this report...

Must say WPX look very impressive, their understanding of WordPress would be incredibly useful. I think we'll pop our main website over to them and see how we get on.
