Re: Subli soft & subli t t-shirts

Post by swimwivsquid »

Hi guys, Wasn't going to get into this as I thought there were a lot of people doing shirts on the island but it would seem not. They buy them in... I have been playing around with a couple of Sublisoft dye sub shirts and they are great. Nice feel and good reproduction of image. Whats the difference between these and the subli T in terms of image quality and feel as I understand it from the sales blurb that there is more cotton in the sulbi T so does this degrade the image. Anyone tried using both. Thanks for any feedback.

Subli-Soft t-shirts are a softer feel to the Xpres Subli-T versions. Image reproduction is pretty much the same on both types, it's just the feel. Subli-Soft t-shirts are more expensive and when we used to stock both, the Xpres brand outsold the Subli-Soft brand by a significant factor, hence we decided to stop stocking the Subli-Soft brand.

Richard, would you not be better using the like of Conde systems for your items? I'd imagine the postage would be cheaper from the states to you, than from the UK to you.

Just a thought

Thanks Kaz. We did look into this but found that postage from the states to us is very high. We would have to arrange with a container shipper to get stuff to us which is what we do with stuff sourced in the UK. We use a company called Ram Shipping and their prices are very reasonable. For instance two big boxes of mugs from Martin worked out at £50 to ship to us and he was able to put other items inside also. Unfortunately we get charged duty on the goods plus shipping added together which can make individual items quite expensive as the rate is 40%+ port duties and broker fees. At least we don't have to worry about the 20% uk vat but it still is expensive which is why we charge the equivalent of £13.50 for a mug. However we are selling them so....and we do have the sunshine. Thanks for the thought.
