Most Magic Touch machines are rebranded Adkins which are considered one of the better makes.

In general you can't go wrong with an Adkins or a Pressmech as both have excellent reputations.

Do you have an image of the machine? If you can see it powered up that would be a start. You need to check the heat across the platen to be 100% sure.

I have about £500 to spend, I have been looking for best value for money and a good reliable press.

I have been looking through the website forum and found the reliable presses just trying to find one i'm thinkng a swing away needs to be a3 to work with the prints of the p800.

Thanks again for your help, I bet you have so many posts on here like this but I have been doing some research

It's the newer press (dark grey upper platen) which are built in China not Leicester but are still very good. At that price if it works ok it's a bargain.

For £500 I would expect an Adkins or Pressmech second hand.

Make him a cheeky offer and if it needs anything it would still be worth it ;-)

got it for £200 seems to work well, equal temp across the plate, Is there a certain way to set these up with the pressure adjustment ?

Also anyone know of a good press for mugs and drink bottles please?
