The lines should be from the heat element if they are not visible in your print before the press. The faded edges are normal with mug presses because you press a full top to bottom image. The solution that ironed out those problems i had as well was an ofen. To the other question about the dots, are you using PNG files with a fully transparent background? Maybe those dots are on your image as well if it has a white background.
