Epson SC P700 P900

Epson have introduced two new printers to replace the P600 and P900. They've introduced a violet cartridge into the printer and renamed the light blacks as light greys.

I noticed that Inktec Sublinova Smart do a bright blue ink. Would this work as a replacement, or is it the end of the road for sublimation using these 'pro' photo printers?

I get the impresion that Epson are trying to mix things up to make it harder for people to use non oem inks.
