Re: JK 721 and the basic settings

Post by SamSwaf »

Hi everyone,

I am having software problems generally but want. to rule out any issues with the plotter first.

When I press the test button it plots the star perfectly but when it draws the box around it it crumples and makes a real mess.

The settings are

Up-speed 500mm/s
Baud rate 480
Cutspeed 030mm/s
Cutpress 060g

Has anyone had a similar problem or could offer any advice?

Thanks,

Sam

What make is the cutter and where did you get it?

Is it compatible with a macbook?

It's Goldcut - i bought it off a guy on ebay.

Well the Easy Cut Studio software i have bought says it is, and the Mac recognises it. I'm working with the Easy Cut people to try and get it working because they have got it working before.

Have you previously cut anything with it?
Has the media been positioned In The pinch rollers correctly?

if your using just the built in test cut it’s not software related but setup related.

I had one of these machines when I first started and there’s no consistency in cutting force it starts off just cutting the vinyl and within 20” it’s cut through the backing too.
