There seems to be plenty on offer before I go ahead and buy one can you advise on which ones to avoid and also any you recommend. (Just after a press not an oven)

Re: Mug presses to avoid
For the price, I like the GENIE III sold by Listawoods. Corking little press and very quick. Also comes from a very reliable supplier so you know you have the back up.

One useful tip, purchase all the other blankets at the same time as you will probably want those at a later date

Very good press! I used to sell it red ones when they come out.scorpian297;142765 wrote:Hi, I am also thinking of changing presses, anyone have opinions on this one please: https://www.mdpsupplies.co.uk/mug-presses-touch.aspx

Re: Mug presses to avoid
Thanks for your advise I dont mean to be a pain but after researching on the forums I found another machine people seem to be pleased with as well
https://signzworld.co.uk/shop/double-tw ... -printing/
Obviously the main difference is 2 cups instead of one and it's a lot cheaper (can buy this and 2 spare blankets for the price of the other one) although i an acutely aware that cheap is not always the best.
Which of the 2 would be better any advice gratefully received.
P.s. thanks to Paul and tea junkie for there replies

Re: Mug presses to avoid
I've had two of these and both failed on temperatur control. Some people seem to get away with it though.

I've found this one to be great so far (4 months): https://www.thetransferpress.co.uk/spec ... 2x30591376https://www.thetransferpress.co.uk/spec ... 2x30591376

Re: Mug presses to avoid
I've had one for 18 months now and it's been great. I only ever use 10oz or 11oz mugs and only ever use the left element, so once that one goes I will then just start using the right one. The only thing I found to be a bit of a faff was setting up the timings on the display (though I am easily confused). Good value for money in my experience.
Re: Mug presses to avoid
Two mug press was quite decent but not any better than the one from Mdp. But the massive advantage is two mugs at once. I was printing box of mugs in no time!
But I sold it quickly as I am not a fan of plastic machinery
