Wooden puzzle template?

Morning all,

I was just wondering if any of you happen to have a template for the toddler's wooden shape puzzle?

I've contacted Subliblanks although no response yet...and not too surprising given the current situation.

Take a photo directly above the puzzle and use it in Photoshop to make your own template by calibrating the PS screen measurements to match known dimensions of the puzzle.

I remembered I had a scanner packed away so dug it out and went a similar route.
And for anybody who wants it...

This is a good way of making your own templates. Once you have a good image and have cropped and aligned the vertical and horizontal edges, simply add a Ruler line to a known size (in this case the length of the puzzle, which I've just guessed at 250mm), note the length of the line (in this case 297 pixels) then go to Photoshop's 'Analysis --> Set Measurement Scale --> Custom...' menu entry, select it and enter relevant sizes in the dialogue box ...

From now on, any measurements will be to the scale of the actual product.

I would have a read at this before you launch any product like that. Once an under three starts chewing it and putting the jigsaw in its mouth. Is it BPA free, will the chewed MDF choke a child?

This quiet period may actually give me some time to actually explore Photoshop/Illustrator properly.

I just grabbed a couple to test. No mention of BPA and no stickers on the packaging at all.
The product page just states it's Dino coated.
I've emailed Subliblanks for clarification so will see if/when they reply.

Yeah, products classed as toys are a nightmare. We were all geared up for making Sand Art pictures. I had everything working fine and we produced some great prototypes but when I looked into CE certification I decided it was a no-go. Even though the coloured sand we had was approved for use in schools there were so many other things that would have had to be sorted before we could go ahead. Just not worth the hassle.

It's a minefield. One of the biggest sub suppliers had to withdraw their enamel mugs, because they discovered that they breached EU standards, so how can we be sure that every Chinese supplier are as stringent?

Even when you press ordinary MDF unisub coasters, the chemical smell is potent and they are formaldehyde free.

Yeah...I think as far as toys are concerned, the closest I'll probably get now is jigsaws:+)
