bit of a longwinded multi faceted question... i've never done much volume with sublimation, just a few mugs here and there, and i havnt bought ink for many years. when i last bought ink sawgrass had an iron grasp, sold it only in bulk, and if, like me, you only wanted 100ml bottles you would need to find someone willing to sell it to you 'under the counter' as it were.

i'm looking to get myself a new budget a3 printer and in looking for that i suddenly see that low volume sublimation ink is easily available with epson even doing their own ink.

so what is the score these days, has the sawgrass grip relented and in trems of buying ink whats a good brand/make/option to look for?

Sawgrass' patent expired, so the market has been open for a few years now.
Inktec now have official 100ml bottles too

Plus one for Inktec Sublinova. Good ink, nice colour reproduction.

As the others have said, the Sawgrass Desktop patent / license ended Sept 2015 (if memory serves) this opened up the market place for desktop printers and alternative inks. We supply a number of the users on here with Inktec Sublinova inks which are well regarded and work well with most Epson desktop printers, we also complete printer packages should you be in the market for one.

Many thanks, Alex

We are now in a position to make one, we do not own or run a SC-P800 so cannot make one using our own equipment sadly. We are offering custom made sublimation ICC profiles here - https://www.inkexperts.co.uk/product-ca ... c-profile/
