Re: Advice please... storing Sawgrass SG800 printer

Hello

Advice please on storing my (little used) Sawgrass SG800 whilst moving house, possibly for a period in storage. If I remove ink cartridges would that stop them drying out or make it more likely? I don't treally want to sell it for a huge loss as it's barely been used, but neither do I want to find it's dried out and useless after a period of storage!

Has anyone left theirs switched off for several months?

Thanks

You could always ask Sawgrass direct.
They have an office in Sheffield and can contact them via phone, email or web chat.

I've never had to do this, but I'd imagine you'd be better off flushing out all inks with de-ionised water before storing.

I've heard of several printers that have been unplugged for months and were fine when they came back on. That said, I would agree best to flush out but you'll lose all inks. Another options may be to sell it on and buy again when you need to.

Great thanks, I hadn't even realised that, I've got an immediate answer via the "chat", obviously best left on, but if turned off it should be OK after heading cleaning etc
