How would you do this?
Re: How would you do this?
I'm sure many of you know that our day jobs are in the Police Force.
We do quite a lot of label printing for them and occasionally embroidery and shirt printing.
I've just been sent the attached image to be printed on white t-shirts - I think 100% cotton but could be polyester. My question is - how would you print the shirts with this left breast logo? It would add value if we could use a gold metallic film but I don't fancy weeding such an intricate design and might not be possible to even cut something that intricate.
Cheers

Re: How would you do this?
I would use a polyester shirt and sublimate them. Other option would be to use a toner transfer system to do the gold using a foil and then a vinyl for the lettering. Pain in the ass but would look great

you can use the clear eco-solvent transfer. leave a small border around and you are done. this is very neat stuff!
I did a video a few weeks ago.

Thanks guys,
Paul, I do have some clear solvent - print film. I'd like to think that I could cut around the larger parts and weed and print the intricate logo with a cut-line around. Maybe use the metallic ink too

Re: How would you do this?
I thought you had an OKI Stitch Up?
In which case I would use T.One, super transfer system and no hand feel, plus if you wanted to get "fancy Smancy" then add T.Foil to the gold area. Cost wise about £1.00 a shirt on materials with the gold foil. Both these processes require zero weeding and time would be around 1 minute per shirt max.
I have both a Versacam and an OKi and its very rare that I would use the clear film for garments these days as the t.one is better (in my humble opinion).
