Re: Struggling to source acrylics

I'm looking to souce a range of sublimatable acrylic blocks suitable to be used for corporate awards.

I've found one or two suppliers but the range (size and thickness) is very limited, as is the supply / stock.

Can anyone recommend a company that offers a decent range ?

Don't just check sublimation suppliers - you are looking for cast acrylic, don't go for extruded as that just melts and makes a mess!

Thanks for that - Ill investigate further.

Presumably Ill need to create / add my own polymer coating to those ?

Or, forget about sublimation, and face-mount prints to the back of the acrylic blocks ...

This is similar to the way we're going now. The sublimation blocks are a ridiculous price and quality has been very poor. Can get some really good quality items much cheaper this way. Shame to have to avoid sublimation though.

Subli Acrylic

The distributor for the acrylic below was also iSub, but they had distribution problems with the manufacturer, which was a shame because I had big plans for this material. I may look into it again shortly.

Has anyone ever tried a Digi-Coat spray on 3mm cast acrylic?

Just thinking Justin ... Acrylic contains polymers, so I wonder if it's worth trying a direct sublimation print on white acrylic without spraying? I realise it would need to be cast acrylic and I only have 2mm clear extruded at home, so I can't try it myself at the moment.
