I am looking to start my sublimation printing learning curve with some coasters, and have a couple of questions:
1. Has anybody printed with both Unisub hardboard backed coasters and MDF (black back) coasters? The MDF coasters are less expensive, but are they significantly lower quality, or more difficult to work with?
2. Do you use a Teflon sheet or some sort of paper to prevent ink marking on the heat press platten for this kind of product?
Thank you.

Re: Coaster comparison
Unisub generally are the better coasters but it's worth looking at other suppliers, Subli Blanks and SoleJuice for example. I've had some decent ones from both recently.
Yes, pop a sheet on top of the coasters to stop and ghosting/bleed.

Unisub all the way for me
My customers say they are some of the best they have used.

Re: Coaster comparison
Thanks for your thoughts. I have decided to order some of both types to run some tests, and have also ordered some glass coasters to see what they look like.
