Stamping requires some practice to get right and you are limited to the font you purchase. Laser engraving would require a significant investment.

If you're artistic and have a reasonably steady hand you could use an electric (vibrating) pen -

We do quite a bit of laser engraving. If you want to engrave onto metals then you will need either a fiber laser source, or use a marking paste with a CO2 machine. If you are considering this as an income source dont waste your money on some Ebay type £400 ish thing. Laser engraving ( as opposed to cutting with a laser, needs decent kit, otherwise you will sit and watch a machine for an hour earn yourself a couple of £'s )

You may be better off buying a rotary engraver or the stamp kit. A decent rotary will set you back £4,000 ish similar in a laser (fiber galvo) £8-9,000. Its not a cheap business to enter if you want speed and versatility.

The machines are expensive for a reason.

Good luck
